Buffalo Chicken Crescent Twists

Buffalo chicken crescent twists

These twists have all the flavor of buffalo chicken dip, wrapped in buttery crescent dough. The filling is spread between two sheets of dough, cut into strips, twisted and baked. They pull apart easily, they travel well, and they are always the first tray to empty on game day.

How to Make Buffalo Chicken Crescent Twists

  1. Heat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Mix the chicken, cream cheese, buffalo sauce and cheese until well combined.
  3. Unroll one sheet of dough on the parchment. Spread the filling over it, leaving a small border.
  4. Lay the second sheet of dough on top and press the edges.
  5. Cut into 12 strips. Twist each strip twice and lay it back on the pan.
  6. Brush with melted butter and bake for 14 to 17 minutes, until deep golden.

Tips

  • Shred the chicken finely so the strips twist without tearing.
  • Chill the filled dough for 10 minutes if it gets too soft to cut.
  • A pizza cutter makes clean strips.

Serving and Storing

Serve warm with ranch or blue cheese. Leftovers keep 2 days and reheat best in the oven.
