These little apple pie cups taste like a slice of warm apple pie with a cinnamon roll for a crust, and they take two ingredients. Each cinnamon roll is pressed into a muffin cup, filled with a spoonful of apple pie filling, and baked until puffed and golden. The icing that comes in the can goes on top while they are still warm. They are a cozy fall dessert you can make in under half an hour.

How to Make 2-Ingredient Apple Pie Cups

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F and grease 8 cups of a muffin tin.
  2. Separate the cinnamon rolls and set the icing aside.
  3. Press each roll into a muffin cup, pushing it up the sides to make a little cup.
  4. Chop any large apple slices, then spoon about 2 heaping tablespoons of filling into each cup.
  5. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, until the edges are golden and the dough is cooked through.
  6. Cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle with the warmed icing and lift the cups out with a small knife.

Tips

  • Chop the apples smaller so the filling sits neatly in each cup.
  • Warm the icing for 10 seconds in the microwave so it drizzles easily.
  • A scoop of vanilla ice cream on top makes them a real dessert.

Serving and Storing

Best warm. Keep leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days and rewarm for 10 to 15 seconds.
