What You Need

  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1 bag (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups crisp rice cereal

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (melted, for glue)

Adding the pretzel antlers

How to Make Rudolph Rice Krispie Treats

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat, add the marshmallows and stir until smooth.
  2. Take off the heat, stir in the cereal, and press into a buttered 9×13-inch pan. Cool 20 minutes.
  3. Cut into 12 triangles (cut rectangles first, then corner to corner).
  4. Push two pretzel halves into the wide top of each triangle for antlers.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips and use a dab to stick on two candy eyes and a red candy nose at the point.

Tips

  • Butter your hands to press the cereal without sticking.
  • Press gently; packed-down treats turn hard.
