Southern 3-Ingredient Brown Sugar Bacon Crackers

Ingredients
  

  • 24 buttery crackers
  • 12 slices bacon cut in half
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil, then place a wire rack on top.
  • Arrange the crackers in a single layer on the wire rack.
  • Place one half-slice of bacon on top of each cracker.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the bacon-topped crackers.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the bacon is cooked and the brown sugar is melted and caramelized.
  • Let the crackers cool for 5–10 minutes before serving, as the sugar topping will be very hot.

Notes

Add a pinch of black pepper or cayenne for a sweet-heat version. Serve warm or at room temperature.
