These Nanner Rolls are soft, airy yeast rolls with sweet twisted tops that bake up golden and buttery. They’re perfect alongside roast chicken, beef stew, ham, soup, or baked pasta—and despite the name, there are no bananas in them.

Keep leftover Nanner Rolls in an airtight container or zip-top bag at room temperature for a couple of days. To reheat one or two, wrap in a barely damp paper towel and microwave for a few seconds just until soft; for a larger batch, wrap in foil and warm in a low oven until heated through. The dough can also be refrigerated overnight before shaping, then allowed to double before shaping, rising, and baking as usual.
