Cuisine American
- 6 crisp apples Granny Smith, Honeycrisp or Fuji
- 1 jar (11 oz) caramel sauce
- 1 cup milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips melted with 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1 cup white chocolate chips optional, melted
- 1 tbsp lemon juice mixed with 2 cups water
- toppings chopped peanuts, mini chocolate candies, crushed cookies, toffee bits, sprinkles, shredded coconut
- 24 craft sticks or lollipop sticks
Pour 2 inches of warm water into a slow cooker and set it to warm or low.
Spoon the caramel and the melted chocolates into heat-safe mason jars and stand the jars in the water.
Cut each apple into 6 to 8 thick wedges and dip them in the lemon water so they don't brown. Pat them very dry.
Push a stick into the skin side of each wedge.
Set the toppings out in a muffin tin or small bowls.
Let everyone dip a slice in caramel or chocolate, then roll it in toppings and set it on parchment.
