Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb beef steak such as chuck or round steak, cut into portions
  • 1 packet onion soup mix dry mix
  • 1 cup beef broth low sodium preferred
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Place the steak pieces in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • In a small bowl, combine the onion soup mix, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder.
  • Pour the mixture over the steaks in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours, or until the steak is fork-tender.
  • Serve hot with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.

Notes

For extra richness, stir in a tablespoon of butter before serving, or add sliced mushrooms during the last 2 hours of cooking.
