Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lb chicken wings frozen, flats and drumettes
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup grape jelly approximate

Instructions

  • Place frozen chicken wings into the slow cooker and spread them out evenly.
  • In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce and grape jelly until combined (it may look lumpy).
  • Pour the sauce over the wings and gently stir to coat.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until wings are tender.
  • Optional: remove lid and cook on HIGH for 15–20 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  • Optional: transfer wings to a baking sheet, spoon extra sauce over, and broil 3–5 minutes until caramelized.
  • Serve warm with extra sauce drizzled over the top.

Notes

Broiling adds a sticky, caramelized finish, but the wings are delicious straight from the slow cooker. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less jelly.
