Slow Cooker Church Supper Spaghetti

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce 24 oz
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz, undrained
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 12 oz spaghetti broken in half
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated, for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, diced onion, and garlic until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Transfer the cooked beef mixture to a 6-quart slow cooker.
  • Add spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours.
  • Break spaghetti in half and stir it into the slow cooker mixture along with the water. Cover and cook for an additional 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is tender.
  • Serve warm, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For added richness, stir in a few tablespoons of cream cheese or shredded mozzarella at the end.
