Instructions
Add the chopped cabbage to a lightly greased 4-quart or 6-quart slow cooker.
Sprinkle the chopped bacon over the cabbage.
Add the sliced onion on top.
Pour the chicken broth into the slow cooker.
Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours, or on high for 2–3 hours, until the cabbage is tender and the bacon is cooked through.
Stir gently before serving warm.
Notes
For extra smoky flavor, brown the bacon first before adding it to the slow cooker. Add red pepper flakes for a little heat.
