Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ziti pasta uncooked
  • 2 cups marinara sauce your favorite brand or homemade
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded, divided
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for greasing the slow cooker

Instructions
 

  • Grease the bottom and sides of your slow cooker with olive oil.
  • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Add a layer of uncooked ziti, then dollops of ricotta cheese, a sprinkle of mozzarella, and marinara sauce. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of sauce and mozzarella on top.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or until pasta is tender and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let sit uncovered for 10 minutes before serving to allow the layers to set.

Notes

For added flavor, stir in cooked ground beef or Italian sausage between layers.
