Instructions
Lightly grease the inside of the slow cooker with butter or cooking spray.
Spread raw ground beef evenly across the bottom of the slow cooker.
Whisk condensed tomato soup with water until smooth, then pour evenly over the beef.
Scatter uncooked egg noodles evenly over the soup mixture and gently press them down into the liquid.
In a bowl, combine sour cream with half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Spoon mixture evenly over the noodles.
Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until noodles are tender and casserole is bubbling.
Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top, cover, and let melt for about 10 minutes.
Gently stir from the edges inward before serving. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Notes
Add diced onions or mushrooms for extra flavor. Serve with buttered bread or a simple green salad.
