Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs beef stew meat or sirloin tips, cut into chunks
  • 21 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup 2 cans, undiluted
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix about 1 ounce
  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms sliced, white button or cremini

Instructions
 

  • Lightly grease the inside of the slow cooker with butter or nonstick spray.
  • Spread sliced mushrooms evenly across the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Arrange beef evenly over the mushrooms.
  • In a bowl, mix condensed mushroom soup and dry onion soup mix until fully combined into a thick paste.
  • Spread the soup mixture over the beef, coating as evenly as possible.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours, without adding water.
  • Once beef is fork-tender, stir gently to combine the gravy. Let rest on WARM for 10–15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice. Add black pepper or fresh parsley before serving for extra flavor.
