dry ranch seasoning mix
store-bought or homemade
Instructions
Place the chicken in an even layer on the bottom of the slow cooker. If you’re using both breasts and thighs, mix them together so they cook evenly.
Sprinkle the dry ranch seasoning mix evenly over the chicken, making sure most of the surface is lightly coated.
Scatter the cream cheese cubes over the top of the seasoned chicken. Do not stir.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or on HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is tender.
Use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker. Stir well to incorporate the melted cream cheese and ranch seasoning.
Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of warm chicken broth or milk and stir until smooth.
Switch to WARM and serve straight from the pot or transfer to a serving dish.
Notes
For extra richness, top with shredded cheddar, chopped bacon, or sliced green onions. Perfect served on buns, baked potatoes, or over pasta.
