Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs pork shoulder boneless and trimmed
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite brand
  • 1/2 cup root beer or cola

Instructions
 

  • Place pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
  • Pour root beer over the pork, then cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until fork-tender.
  • Drain most of the liquid and shred the pork using two forks.
  • Add BBQ sauce and mix until evenly coated.
  • Serve warm on buns, over rice, or in tacos.

Notes

Swap root beer for Dr Pepper or cola for a different depth of sweetness.
