apricot preserves

dry onion soup mix
Instructions
Lightly grease the inside of a 4-quart or 6-quart slow cooker.
Place the chicken in an even layer in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Spoon the apricot preserves over the chicken.
Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the top.
Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours, or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
Gently stir the sauce before serving, spooning it over the chicken.
Serve warm over rice, egg noodles, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
For a tangier sauce, stir in 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar before cooking. Chicken thighs stay especially tender in this recipe.
