mushrooms, sliced

Worcestershire sauce

garlic, minced

all-purpose flour

beef stock

sour cream
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine pork, beef, saltines, milk, eggs, onion, bell pepper, dill, garlic powder, parsley, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
Form into six 2-inch-thick patties. Place on lined baking sheet and let rest for 30 minutes.
Heat 2 tablespoons butter in skillet over medium-high heat. Sear patties in batches until browned on both sides. Set aside.
Add remaining 1/4 cup butter to skillet. Add mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Cook until mushrooms are soft.
Stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Gradually stir in beef stock. Bring to simmer.
Return patties to pan. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes.
Uncover, stir in sour cream, and adjust seasoning to taste. Serve hot.
Notes
This Polish-style dish is hearty, flavorful, and perfect for a cool evening. Serve with mashed potatoes or crusty bread.
