Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup onion sliced
  • 1 cup green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 6 slices provolone cheese divided

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until soft, about 5–7 minutes.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cream cheese until well combined and creamy.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x9-inch baking dish. Top evenly with provolone cheese slices.
  • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added crunch, top with crispy fried onions or serve over toasted bread for a sandwich-style twist.
