Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning prepare according to packet directions
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  • Lightly coat the foil with cooking spray.
  • Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks, until no pink remains.
  • Drain the grease well.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning according to the packet directions, adding water if required, and simmer until the beef is coated and the mixture thickens slightly.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Press the seams together to form one large rectangle, stretching gently if needed.
  • Spread the seasoned beef evenly over the dough, leaving about a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
  • Lay the provolone slices over the beef, overlapping slightly to cover most of the surface.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbling at the edges.
  • Let the flatbread rest for a few minutes before cutting.
  • Slice into squares or strips and serve hot.

Notes

Drain the beef well so the crust stays crisp. For easy serving, cut into strips for appetizers or larger squares for dinner portions.
