Ingredients

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Russian dressing bottled, plus more if desired
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer in the prepared dish.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the Russian dressing and dry onion soup mix until well combined.
  • Spoon the dressing mixture over the chicken and spread it evenly to coat each piece.
  • Optional: Flip each chicken breast once to lightly coat the underside.
  • Bake uncovered for 45–55 minutes, until the sauce is thickened, caramelized around the edges, and the chicken reaches 165°F in the thickest part.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Do not crowd the chicken so the sauce can caramelize properly. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or buttered noodles.
