Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine 2 cups flour and 1/2 cup granulated sugar. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan to form the crust. Bake for 15 minutes.
While crust bakes, whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, 2 tbsp flour, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Stir in chopped pecans.
Pour the pecan filling over the hot crust and spread evenly.
Return to oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the center is set.
Cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
For a twist, mix in a handful of chocolate chips with the pecan filling for added richness.
