Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups water divided into 2 cups hot and 2 cups cold
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 lemon sliced, for garnish
  • 1 cup ice cubes more for serving

Instructions
 

  • Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan or kettle.
  • Place the tea bags in a heatproof pitcher and pour the hot water over them. Steep for 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar until dissolved.
  • Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water and let the tea cool to room temperature.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve over ice with lemon slices.

Notes

Try adding mint leaves or fruit slices like peach or raspberry for a fun twist.
