Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded, plus extra for topping
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary finely chopped
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Mix in cheese and herbs, coating them with flour.
  • Whisk milk, butter, and eggs in another bowl.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients gently without overmixing.
  • Transfer batter to pan and top with extra cheese if desired.
  • Bake 45–50 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  • Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing.

Notes

Use different herbs or add garlic powder for extra flavor depth.
