Easy Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can sliced peaches 15-ounce, with juice
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • cinnamon optional, for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Place the butter in a 9×9-inch baking pan and melt it in the oven while preheating.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, milk, baking powder, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  • Remove the pan with melted butter from the oven. Pour the batter over the butter—do not stir.
  • Spoon the peaches with their juice evenly over the batter. Do not mix.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon over the top if using.
  • Bake for 38–44 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

Delicious served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. You can use fresh peaches if desired—just cook them briefly with a little sugar and lemon juice first.
