flank steak
thinly sliced against the grain

beef broth
low sodium preferred

low-sodium soy sauce
1/4

brown sugar
packed

tbsp
sesame oil

garlic
minced

cornstarch
mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry)

broccoli florets
fresh or frozen

fresh ginger
grated

green onion
sliced, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
Place sliced flank steak into the crockpot and pour sauce mixture over the top.
Cover and cook on low for 4.5 to 5 hours until beef is tender.
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to form a slurry. Stir into crockpot and cook for an additional 20–30 minutes until sauce thickens.
Add broccoli florets in the last 30 minutes of cooking. Stir to combine.
Serve hot over rice and garnish with green onion if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of oyster sauce or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
