4cupscooked chickenshredded or chopped
1packageherbed stuffing mixabout 6 oz
1cancream of chicken soup10.5 oz can
1cancream of celery soup10.5 oz can
1cupchicken broth
1/2cupmilk
1/2cuponiondiced
1/2cupcelerychopped
2tbspbuttermelted
1/2tspblack pepperor to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté onion and celery in melted butter until softened, about 5 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine stuffing mix, sautéed vegetables, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, milk, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Spread half of the stuffing mixture into the prepared baking dish. Layer the shredded chicken evenly on top.
Top with the remaining stuffing mixture and spread evenly.
Bake uncovered for 35 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
