  • Beef Consommé
  • Long-Grain White Rice
  • Butter salted or unsalted
  • Onion yellow or white
  • Garlic Powder or Fresh Garlic

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter in a skillet, sauté onion, add rice, beef consommé, water, and garlic. Bake covered for 40-45 minutes.
  • Let it sit, fluff with a fork, and serve hot.

Notes

For a twist, add mushrooms, roasted garlic, herbs, cheese, peas, or bacon drippings. Serve as a side or add meat for a main dish. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days.
