Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork sausage regular or hot
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough 8 oz each, 8 triangles per can
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese optional
  • 1 egg beaten, for brushing

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small crumbles, until fully browned and cooked through.
  • Drain off excess fat and let the sausage cool for a few minutes.
  • In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until well blended.
  • Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, if using.
  • Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles along the perforations.
  • Spoon about 1 generous tablespoon of sausage filling onto the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll each crescent from the wide end toward the narrow tip, tucking in the filling and pinching the edges to seal.
  • Arrange the crescents on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with beaten egg.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until deeply golden.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving, as the filling will be hot.

Notes

Use hot sausage for a spicier version, or add extra cheddar for a richer filling. Serve with ranch, honey mustard, or spicy dipping sauce.
