Ingredients

  • 2 pounds crab legs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Rinse the crab legs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • Place the crab legs in a large baking dish.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the lemon juice and Old Bay seasoning, then remove from heat.
  • Pour the butter sauce over the crab legs, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to let the crab legs crisp up slightly.
  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For easier eating, use kitchen shears to cut open the crab legs before baking. Serve with lemon wedges, crusty bread, and maybe a chilled glass of white wine or sweet tea. Don’t forget the napkins—this one’s delightfully messy!
