These slow-cooked pork chops are simmered in a rich, creamy sauce with Swiss cheese, mushrooms, garlic, and thyme. The Alpine-inspired flavors make this dish comforting and elegant all at once.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese shredded
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions
 

  • Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the pork chops on both sides.
  • In a slow cooker, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, Swiss cheese, onion, garlic, and thyme.
  • Submerge the browned pork chops in the cheese and mushroom mixture in the slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for 6–8 hours until the pork chops are tender.
  • Before serving, stir the sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes or buttered egg noodles to soak up that cheesy sauce. You can substitute Gruyère cheese for a sharper Alpine twist.
