4-Ingredient Slow Cooker Championship Beef Dip

This slow cooker beef dip is rich, savory, and incredibly satisfying. Ground beef simmers low and slow in French onion soup and au jus, creating a deeply flavorful filling that’s perfect piled onto toasted hoagie rolls and dipped into warm jus.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb ground beef 80/20 preferred
  • 2 cans condensed French onion soup 10.5 oz each, undiluted
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 6-8 rolls hoagie or sub rolls split

Instructions
 

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink and slightly caramelized.
  • Drain excess fat, leaving a small amount for flavor.
  • Transfer beef to the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle au jus mix over the beef.
  • Pour condensed French onion soup over the top. Do not add water.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours.
  • Stir occasionally if desired.
  • Toast rolls under the broiler until lightly crisp.
  • Serve beef on toasted rolls with a side of cooking liquid for dipping.

Notes

Toasting the rolls is key to preventing soggy sandwiches. For extra flavor, add melted cheese or sautéed onions before serving.
