Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined, thawed if frozen
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • chopped parsley optional, for topping

Instructions
 

  • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
  • Season the shrimp lightly with salt and black pepper.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the butter and let it melt until it begins to foam.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant but not browned.
  • Add the shrimp in a single layer, or as close to one layer as possible.
  • Cook for 1–2 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 1 minute, until the shrimp are pink and just cooked through.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir gently to combine.
  • Simmer over low to medium heat for 2–3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the shrimp.
  • Taste and adjust with more salt or black pepper if needed.
  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Add a squeeze of lemon at the end for brightness. Serve right away so the shrimp stay tender and the sauce remains silky.
