Ingredients

  • 14-16 oz jellied cranberry sauce 1 can
  • 15.25 oz yellow cake mix dry only
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted

Instructions

  • Grease the inside of the slow cooker with butter or nonstick spray.
  • Slide the whole cranberry sauce from the can into the bottom of the slow cooker without breaking it up.
  • Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cranberry layer. Do not stir.
  • Drizzle melted butter evenly over the top, covering as much of the dry mix as possible.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 to 2.5 hours or LOW for 4 to 4.5 hours, until the top is set and lightly golden with bubbling edges.
  • Turn off heat and let rest with the lid on for 10–15 minutes before serving.
  • Spoon into bowls, ensuring each serving has both cranberry and cake layers.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for the best contrast. Try cherry or blueberry filling as a variation.
